ダニー・ゴングは結婚と同時に香港からアメリカのニューヨークに移住したろうあの両親の元に生まれ、アメリカ手話と英語で育ちました。

ニューヨーク州立のパーチェス大学で劇作を専攻し卒業した後、２年間ニューヨーク市立ラガーディア大学に入学し、手話通訳養成教育プログラムを専攻しました。そこではアメリカ手話の文法や構文、聾文化、英語との相互関係などを学びます。卒業して半年後には合衆国認定の手話通訳士の資格を取得し、病院や学校、結婚式、社員研修、面談、会議、ニューヨーク州の集会など様々な場所で通訳を経験しました。

２００５年に大阪に移り住み、 大阪と京都でたくさんの人にアメリカ手話を教えています。また、アメリカ手話を通して、英語の教育にも力を入れ、好評を得ています。

    Danny Gong is a Chinese American whose family is from Hong Kong.  He was born and raised in New York City by his Deaf parents.  American Sign Language (ASL)  and English are his native languages.

    1998 - 2002 he attended S.U.N.Y Purchase College and received his B.F.A. in Dramatic Writing. 

    2002 - 2004 he attended the Interpreter Training Projects La Guardia Community College and received his Certificate in American Sign Language Interpretation.

    Danny Gong moved to Japan in 2005.  Currently, he is teaching American Sign Language in the Kansai area and is also teaching English pronunciation to aspiring singers.
